Fool that I am, I’d do it all over again.

April 1, 2018 was the one year anniversary of the Taste the Food blog. And yes, Taste the Food was intentionally launched on April Fools’ Day…
A one year anniversary requires one to reflect. My reflections in five quotes:
1. Anything worth doing is worth doing badly. - G. K. Chesterton.
I laughed when I came across G K Chesterton’s quote six months into Taste the Food. And, it keeps me going. I was not a writer when I started and I am not a writer now. But, I write - goodly and badly…
2. People will make time for what they want to do. – Mike Stinson
My Dad was right, and sometimes it takes time. I vowed to write a blog when my mother passed. She passed July 20, 2013 – Taste the Food launched April 1, 2017.
3. Better is the enemy of good. – Voltaire
I have spent as little as 15 minutes and as much as 5 hours writing a post. The 15 minute post is better.
4. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. – Buddha
I am grateful to the people that helped me create Taste the Food. Dina Wasmer for willing to launch a neophyte into cyberspace (web sites and social media...). Greg Conderacci for his good humor and mentoring. Leigh Tillman for trying to teach an old dog a new trick (storytelling is not narrative...). Finally, Trudy Snope for contributing the wonderful pictures that always tell a story.
5. Share a Story! – Mark Stinson
I am also grateful to those that have contributed stories. To those who have not... you know you want to! It is easy – see numbers 1 - 4 above.
How about you? What do you want to do? Share a story!
